The AW-Drones project is contributing to the harmonisation of the EU drone regulations and standards. The project supports the European Union rulemaking process for the definition of rules, technical standards, and procedures for civilian drones to enable safe and reliable operations in the EU Open and Specific categories.
“Is European aviation conquering the challenges of drones?”
Our final event aims to explore the challenges that the drone sector is facing in Europe, and how the development and adoption of adequate industry standards may contribute to the safe integration of drones in aviation.
In this context, representatives of AW-Drones will highlight the role that the project had in supporting the establishment of a safe and sustainable framework for drone operations in the European Union. Representatives of EASA, ICAO, IATA and EUROCONTROL will provide a brief overview of the current and future challenges for the aviation world, including the disruptive innovation brought by drones and Urban Air Mobility.

The AW-Drones Project event is open to everybody to attend. However, we address in particular a specific audience active in the fields of rule-making, aviation, and drone-related activities. For example:
